Despite the allure of New York City living, Gyan made a conscious decision to establish roots in Ghana, citing her deep connection to the country. “I still go for my holidays, but not to live permanently,” she explained. “God is great. I mean, lots of people who have the chance to live in New York City are not going to come back to Ghana. I think I grew up there. I school there. I’ve worked there. I’ve done a lot there. So a change of environment is always good.”
Gyan’s commitment to her homeland is not only evident in her career choices but also in her philanthropic endeavors. She emphasized the importance of giving back to the community that has shaped her identity. “And I think the fact that I can always go back and forth, it makes it so much easier for me,” she added.
